Jeremy's Cry

The true story of the disappearance of a deaf boy, four-year-old Jeremy Coots, in 1977, in Atchison, Kansas. A parent's worst nightmare is shared in honest detail by the author, his mother, Melodye Coots Hathaway. The heroic efforts of the thousands of searchers were culminated by the findings of what the Guinness Book of Records (2008) deemed The World's Most Successful Police Dog, Intrepid, a Golden Retriever trained and well loved by former policeman Tom Kazo. Kazo's widow, Donna M. Kazo, edited and designed the book and supplied valuable information to finally bring this heartfelt and universal story to realization.
