When I'm not working, I like to take the time to read a couple of books before my daughter goes to bed. My favorite to always fall back are the Little Critter Books. I love them for the humor, the little creatures on every page and the little lessons with happy endings. I read the books when I was little and I can tell my daughter that when she starts reading them herself.
Tonight we read Just a "Thunderstorm" and I like how the story is told from Little Critter's little sister. Thunderstorms can be scary but reading this book can help calm your child down. If the power is out, roast some marshmellows, make a fort and tell stories, or just sit back and listen to the rain.
