The Giver By Lois Lowry

This was absolutely one of the books that I will always remember.  I read the book I think in 7th grade and it is one that I have reread quite a few times since then.  It's about a boy living in a "perfect" world where there is no poverty, everyone has a job that is decided for them and there is order in everything that is done.  Interesting book to say the least and I swear it's worth every moment reading it.
